Jeremy Stephen is the current President of the Barbados Economic Society, with extensive experience in private equity, and economic consulting in Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean and internationally. 


Jeremy’s in-depth knowledge of the Caribbean commercial landscape has made him a tremendous asset to regional governments and private sector organizations. He possesses intimate knowledge of key regional jurisdictions having executed projects in a number of Caribbean territories and has provided financial consultancy and business advisory services to the Government of Barbados; the Caribbean Development Bank; the Inter-American Development Bank; the Nation Corporation Inc; the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC); the Barbados Agricultural Development and Management Corporation (BADMC); May Hinds Consulting; Invest Caribbean Now; Alpha Banco de Inversion; and The Crane Group (Merrill Lynch) amongst others. 


A former Commonwealth Scholar, Stephen’s is lecturer in Banking & Finance at the  University  of  the  West Indies. Jeremy has an MSc. Finance degree with a concentration in Portfolio Management, Financial Statement Analysis and Entrepreneurship from Imperial College London, and a BSc. Economics from the University of the West Indies-Cave Hill Campus.
