Scott Galt is an eminent self-taught, award-winning Barbadian guitarist and ‘one half’ of De Red Boyz music producers, producing some the Caribbean’s biggest songs over the last 10 years. As a guitarist, from the tender age of 9 Scott has grown to be a ‘first call’ session guitarist for the likes of top artists like Arturo Tappin and Nicholas Brancker, having played for popular bands like Coalishun, 2nd Avenue and 4 D People. As a producer, Scott helped to produce hits such as Chippin’, All Ah We, Know the Face and Boat Ride, to name a few. Biggie Irie’s “Nah Goin’ Home” and Peter Ram’s “Woman By My Side”, turned out to be the two biggest songs for Trinidad’s 2007 Carnival, where Biggie became the first non-Trinidadian to win the coveted Groovy Monarch Competition.
Other regional and international artists in Scott’s repertoire include Kevin Lyttle, Machel Montano, Farmer Nappy, Kerwin DuBois, Shontelle, Livvi Franc, Boyz II Men and Maxi Priest.
Scott has earned the ‘Producer of the Year’ award on 5 occasions, besides several other Barbados Music Awards.
